4TH YEAR UNDERGRADUATE DISSERTATION GUIDANCE NOTES

Guidance Notes

This brochure provides direction for the research of undergraduate dissertations and sets out the system leading compliance.

Introduction

All students' interpretation for honors degrees in characteristics is necessary to present a dissertation. The undergraduate dissertation is based upon self-governing research undertaken by an individual student. Supervision is provided by the education employees. The dissertation is worth 40 credits, and constitutes one sixth of the final degree consideration.

Candidates for combined honors degrees in the College of Humanities & Social Science that comprise Geography may decide to present a dissertation in Geography or in the additional subject of study. If the applicant elects to submit a dissertation in Geography, the set of laws set out in this article apply; if the applicant chooses to present in the other subject matter the regulations issued by the applicable school will concern. Students reading for joint honors degrees must inform their Director of Studies of their selection.
